Gentian's Cake

This is not just any cake. More care went into the making of this cake than any ordinary cake. Gentian, who has made many wedding cakes for friends, was making her own wedding cake this time, and that's just part of Gentian and Barry's story. Not only did Gentian make their wedding cake, but she also made all their floral arrangements, and her father printed their wedding invitations on his own printing press. Because Gentian is from a family of artists, it just kind of makes sense that her own creativity would find an outlet.

Their wedding was our first August wedding, and Rick took these photos a couple days before their ceremony. Talk about working up until the last second!





Putting on the details must be the best part of making any cake.
